When I was seven or eight I would spend hours roller skating back and forth across the basement on the bare concrete floor. Clamp-on skates. What a rush that was!

Looks like a .25 inch eye hook lag screw, maybe screwed into the bottom stair header, or at least a floor joist. Could work.

The hook does seem to be missing in later scenes though....

It's true, football fans love the diving and these gifs are all from this weekend's most popular match (because of the exquisite diving) and not some of the most widely mocked incidents of the last 15 or 20 years.

Soccer is so corrupt it's more like a make believe game that kids play where the rules are very very loose, but this is done to ensure mafia gambling consortiums can hedge bets.

for example, the ball went in so hard to bounced around behind the line a few times, but the ref...well the ref got paid to call it different, even though it was VERY CLEARLY A GOAL

My theory is that "catches" the can and sets it down a lot more gently than letting it drop, which in turn increases the chance of a blow-up if it's a carbonated beverage.

Or it's just wacky & cool for you to gawk at it.

It actually moves it to a slot on the right side, so the one that fell is also a lost cause. I have one of these at work and they break down all the time.

lol wtf are you talking about

the goal was disallowed because the linesmen and ref didn't see the ball go over the line, and at the time they weren't allowed to use video replays to make sure their decisions were correct. Dumb, but not corruption.

I think the idea is that someone who has the job of determining if things are goals or not shouldn't have mysteriously not seen it go in, and it always feel like they're intentionally skewing calls in one direction

It is important to avoid confusion. This is the one that's okay to lick.

Let's not pretend that FIFA isn't regularly competing with the IOC for "world's most corrupt organization." They are blindingly, shockingly corrupt.

That doesn't also mean that every call is suspect due to organizational interference. Referee calls are generally due to individual corruption, not organizational corruption!
