I've got a pocket full of cheese🧀, and a garden full of trees🌴.

Why is it when AEW does stupid goofy poo poo like this it is charming, but when WWE does something similar it always comes across as forced, hollow and lame?

This is a serious question. Because on paper, this should be awful. A product placement, with stupid joke of little kid trying to attack a camera finished off with a cheesey singalong of a jingle. But the overall impression is charming and funny, and FUN. And I think that is the difference. It's fun.

I also appreciated this joke a lot more than I should have:

"Ryan Nemeth was my babysitter."
"He sat on you as a baby?!"

It's easier to have a good time with something goofy that you've come up with rather than something goofy that's been written for you that you hate and have to make work. That comes through in the performance.

It wasn't scripted by a team of two dozen writers who are trying to write what Vince McMahon thinks is funny.

I think it’s because AEW know it’s a tongue in cheek promo on Twitter - if wwe did this it would be braun strowman doing it deadpan in the main event of raw with over the top cgi flashy bits

Aew know that DO is a purely silly stable

I wonder if it's assumed death by proxy since Brian Adams died and you kind of assume any other muscled-up dude of that look and era is also dead. I'm routinely surprised Scott Putski is alive because some of the other guys like him from around that time have died.

duh, its very simple. Adam Bomb, played by Brian Clark, is a totally different person from Brian Adams, who he was later in a tag team with as Kronik where they looked basically identical anyway
