Pennsylvania is incredibly pretty in the fall, especially considering most of the forests were replanted in the 1900s after centuries of careless clearcutting.
But for as pretty as the trees are, the people are proportionally repulsive.

from midnight but anybody enjoying Tuchman's WW1 books (which are really good) should check out The First Salute about the American Revolution. It's very good and has one of the most clear and concise explanations of the Yorktown campaign I've read.
