It's not the same thing as this trailer (just like DP isn't the same as Twin Peaks, just very obviously influenced by it) but watching the trailer for this game immediately reminded me of that film.

I've been playing quite a bit of First Class Trouble the last few days. https://store.steampowered.com/app/953880/First_Class_Trouble/ It's one of those Among Us / Town of Salem 'who's the bad' games. Group of six people are on a ship that's crashing or something, I dunno. In that group, there are two "Personoids", AI that you need to kill before they kill you. You go through three levels, which are made up of a subset of different maps. Really though only the second level is ever a different map. You vote on who is sus between levels like most of these games. The game itself is janky. Sometimes menus don't interact correctly. Grabbing people to do the murders can gently caress up and then it all breaks down into chaos since you either missed the Personoid, or you just revealed yourself and now everyone wants to kill you. That said, the online portion works great. No desyncs, games start in about 10 seconds, and the voice chat is clear. I've found the community to be pretty fun. Skews to an older crowd which I appreciate. Smallish number of people so I've run into the same folks a few times which isn't a bad thing. Most everyone has had good mic control. No one screaming in the back or working in a steel mill. I've only had one or two games where there was an rear end in a top hat and that's easy enough to rectify with an ejection or murder. All around it's a good time, especially for the price. Highly recommended.

It looks like its going for a The Ship vibe. Nobody remembers the forefathers :pensive emoji: I wish this trend would produce a worthy successor to Trouble in Terriost Town because I always thought of all the MP tratior video game stuff that was the most fun outside of SS13.

I loved the Close Combat series, especially Russian Front. The screenshots don't do the game justice. I really wish the spirit of the game could be applied to something other than WW2 / contemporary warfare. 40k would be fun but really just an original setting with lots of theme and personalities to mix in. ... might have to see if I can get my old copy of A Bridge Too Far running again...
