I have to admit that I’ve always been kind of “meh” about Radiohead, but with all the accolades I can’t help but feel like I’m missing something. I’m going to listen to their entire discography this week, but should I go chronologically or order the albums differently?

I have a friend who has similar taste as me but hates Radiohead. I love nearly everything on The Bends through In Rainbows, and some great b sides. They really lost me on King of Limbs and on though, and a lot of their live show with it. So wish I could’ve seen them back in the 00’s.

I think you can be a Radiohead fan and only like three of their albums. I only own two I think. Hate the song Creep, love There There. And Thom Yorke was on a top 3 Space Ghost episode.

I'm eh on Radiohead itself, but I love the work they've done without each other. Greenwood's soundtrack work, Yorke's soundtrack for Suspiria, etc. It's all great, imo. I saw the NZ Symphony Orchestra doing a Greenwood piece a few years ago and it was one of the best things I've ever experienced. There are many different opinions about what Radiohead’s peak was, but it was definitely between OK Computer (1997) and In Rainbows (2007). Everything before and after is significantly worse.

OK Computer is probably the ideal intro to Radiohead, so try that if you haven't. You'll probably recognize 1 or 2 of its best songs already, but on the off chance you don't, you're in for a treat. If you like that album but think "I wish they did more of the mellow and weird stuff" you're in luck! If you wish they would get a little more upbeat then you can probably just walk away

The Bends is one of the best rock albums. I guess some radiohead fans might not like it because it's.not reflective of the band they became. But it's an amazing album.

I think starting with the Bends would be a good place to start. It is a really strong album, and one where they really come into their own. Plus, it sets the stage for OK Computer, which really is an evolution of the Bends. You have an album where the band starts knowing exactly what they want to do, and while it's before the point where they get experimental, you can hear them pushing a little bit, like on Just. But if you really want to appreciate Radiohead - start with the "Pop is Dead" single. No matter what you think of their later work, you can agree that it's all a marked improvement from Pop is Dead.

Huh I thought I was the only one who only liked some Radiohead albums. OK Computer, Kid A and In Rainbows are fantastic. King of Limbs and A Moon Shaped Pool are atrocious. The rest are just okay.

Radiohead is a band that I can appreciate, and fully understand why others love them, but they just aren't for me. While I do enjoy OK Computer and Kid A, my favourite is Hail to the Thief. But, I only ever put on these albums every once in a while. e: to put it more succinctly, when I think of Radiohead, I think of them making some dreary sad rock that is not any fun. I could only ever really dig the first CHVRCHES album. I still listen to In Rainbows the whole way through while stoned once or twice a year, and Electioneering is one of my favorite songs of all time.
