Is there a way to dress it up? Could I just add creamer and sugar and keep it ice cold?

isnt one can supposed to be equivalent of 3.5 cups of coffee? its pretty strong in terms of caffeine. if the taste is too strong just mix it with simple syrup to taste and a little bit of creamer ??

Just got back from the Co after spending $250 but many sale items so probably saved like $50 in deals.

I insisted we pick up chicken breast and pork tenderloin packs. I’ve been experimenting with homemade fried chicken sandwiches and marinated gochujang pork tenderloin on the grill. Excited.

My wife is stoked about the shrimp tempura on sale.

Also got that garden hose on sale because why not?

Is there a schedule to when Costco will promote/discount memberships? A family member will be signing up for a new exec membership and I want to advise them when the best time to do it in the next 2 months is. Like the bag giveaways, or discounts or whatever. Thx!

And I already know that a Costco membership is it’s own reward ;)

I think I could dig up the coupon I got through my previous employer's generic benefits email(hell yeah they never took me off the mailing list :getin:) if you'd like. It's nothing huge, I think you just get a $30 Costco gift card, but happy to share the generic code if anybody wants it!

Is it the Columbian cold brew everyone goes nuts for?

I got it this weekend and it's insanely strong. I'll double check the can to see if it needs dilution or not, but on it's own it was jet fuel.

I also acquired my Vitamix so I'm super stoked for blended coffee drinks and seeing how many margs per minute I can whip up.

Yeah, thats the one. I wouldn't say I go nuts over it, it just kind of tastes "ok" to me. But yeah, it has a lot of caffeine in it which helps out a lot. I don't drink a whole can though.

I don't remember if the cold brew cans say to dilute but they have like 225mg caffeine in each so I definitely have to cut it with something because my tolerance isn't that high.

I know some people go through that like nothing though, but they're definitely very harsh tasting if you try and drink it straight.

It's insanely harsh flavorwise for a cold brew, but 225mg is a little less than a 12oz Starbucks drip.

I braved the Costco on a Saturday @ Noon over the weekend. was pretty busy but I do the pro-move where I just parallel park on the street next to it and walk over isntead of brace the thunderdome death parking lot. Inside was pretty busy but not the worst i've seen it, no real queuing I guess.

They had Bitchin Sauce back in for the first time in almost 3(!) years, or maybe this is the first time it didn't run out of stock. Not sure since I'm still in the same state as San Diego.

I picked up the Tramontina 2-pack of a 7-gal enameled dutch oven and a 4-gal enameld dutch oven for $45 since my old Lodge one broke. https://www.costco.com/tramontina-enameled-cast-iron-dutch-oven%2c-2-pack.product.100690152.html They're a little lighter in mass than I'd want and not as heavy as my old 6-gal Lodge, but they'll do the trick for $45 (PBUC). My fiance really wants a Staub but we can't really justify it (and they're out of stock of the color/type we wanted anyways) so this is a holdover for some time. The $25 off they have going is perfect timing.

It appears the Merino Wool Socks are gone for good and discontinued, which is sad. maybe they'll find a different supplier in the future. Picked up a 2 pack of compression socks instead.

I'm sad to report it also appears those Samyang Spicy Chicken Ramen bowls are gone for good, it was such an incredible good price for like a 24-pack. they've been gone for well over a year now so I guess I'll just have to buy em elsewhere for more $$. I got the a-sha spicy hakka noodles instead, they aren't my favorite but way better than the a-sha tainen ones.

Then just got some other odd and end items, more paper towels, this weird turkish white cheese in brine, more paneer (best place to buy paneer). Sadly they also seem to no longer carry pallet of coconut milk at the moment.

didn't even bother with a dog because the line to pickup a food court item was basically all the way to the back receipt-checkers by the exit door and clogging up all the checkout-exits. just the absolute worst loving placement for a food court.

Been missing the cold brew for a couple months now, I just think it's a solid unsweetened coffee to perk you up, and it's just over 1$/can and at that price it can't be beat. I'm used to Vietnamese coffee so I don't find it that strong.

The price is the thing that won me over on the cold brew. I doctor my coffee up with various sugar free syrups and cream, so it cuts the strength down. I usually get 3 days out of a 40 oz Starbucks container from the grocery store and those run like 4.50 a pop. I save a little money buying the cans. I wish my Costco still had them. They've had the La Colombe cans lately, but I don't care for those.

edit: For any Texas goons, this weekend is a sales tax holiday on emergency preparation items, like batteries, first aid kits, fire extinguishers, generators, etc. I'm going this weekend to stock up on batteries, grab a couple fire extinguishers (mine are old), a big first aid kit, and maybe a generator. Save the tax, Executive Members get 2% back, and PBUC

I didn't even catch that.

Those Dutch ovens were such a great deal I had to have them as I've been wanting them forever. Before I even got home I knew I didn't want both, so I just gave the 4 quart away to a friend, and I still feel like that was a good buy.

I've made two loaves of bread in them so far and they are excellent.

Used a dutch oven for frying wings, they're awesome and really keep the oil temp from dropping which really keeps things non-greasy.

Also grabbed that Klipch home subwoofer that Costco had for like 70$ off, the thing is a monster and I actually have to keep it's settings pretty low and it still has plenty of rumble, it's hard to see anyone's home needing more bass than this thing kicks out.

Was it in an aluminum can with lots of different languages on it? If so that was бринза (brinza) and that poo poo is stupidly good on top of polenta with some crispy lardons.

They had those for months here. A buddy got one and it broke in 2 days camping.

Watched a lady ignore the cashiers and not unload a single item from her cart, just pushed it to the belt then walked around and kept texting. I have never seen such daggers be cast from two people, as the cashier and the guy pulling carts looked at her then each other. Unloaded my small stuff, guy immediately starts talking and loudly asks if I would like a small box as the lady is in ear shot digging for a box in the bin, and he just stared at her and smiled. Please be nice to employees.

If you want to be Costco royalty, bring in boxes from outside and put your stuff in them in your cart as you shop. It saves everyone time and you have to walk by that bin anyway on your way in!
