Crypto has to be the key to the collapse. I see so many loving cheapo scam ads for it and coinbase now. It's too stupid not to be bought into on a larger scale than it has any right to be (which we've already seen). Partially as a result of its stupidity and partially as a cause for its stupdity it's super easy to make money off of it if you're both smart enough to, and willing to exploit humans and nature. The two process bootstrap each other. Plus it's tapping into that deep suspicion, whether conscious or not, that money is loving made up that most people suspect and jokerfied quasi-nihilist personalities feed off of.

This is a thing you know. Yet you continue on as if you don't just so you can make terrible posts?

I'm convinced the only honest thing which has ever slipped past Thiels lips is the assertion that crypto has been weaponized to destroy western capitalist economies, by proving too tempting a greed gamble for major institutions to stay away.

Saying money is made up and fictional, instead of giving us MMT-led reforms (yes MMT isn't going to give us communism but it's the only viable path to at least a reformed social democracy), gave us people pouring billions of dollars into a decentralized currency who's literal function is to be a power and compute virus sucking up every resource it can. We are so hosed man. It's great how there are three different threads in here I could say that in but ironically the COVID thread isn't one of them (i do think it's gonna more or less subside by the end of the year)

I just think we should put Matt Bruenig in charge of all things economic, that guy is a living spreadsheet of pro-socialist pitches given life in data form, I trust his having dictatorial powers will result in more good (massively simplified direct payment schemes to replace means testing) than bad (all the world is converted to a single time zone)
