Dog update: he is no longer a Gaspode since we want him to be a slightly fancy man and the name would feel stupid at that point. He is now Conan, because I wanted to find a half decent Gaelic name and it means "little wolf" and is also from the same root as my partner's surname (Connor, "lover of wolves", I hope this is a safe space from 2006 style furry jokes). He is getting used to being outside and slept through the whole night for the first time, presumably aware that it's the loving weekend and I didn't actually need to get up anyway

If the black cat can disengage correctly slapping might be avoided Cat dominance plays are a strange game of the aggressor invading the space of the foe but not actually initiating violence while the foe has to try and back off but not too fast or it’ll encourage the aggressor too much who then over extends and has to fight.
