It never stops.

There are a couple of suuuuuuuuuuper problematic '80s comedies that I'll still throw on, like a Jekyll and Hyde... Together Again or a Man with Two Brains - I'm cool with leaving Porky's in the trash.

You can stay, Kentucky Fried Movie.

For some reason I thought I was in the horror thread and I was just silently nodding at the inclusion of the Porky's poster and Baby Geniuses.

Overall I like this. Not a huge fan of how the tagline is laid out (and the font doesn't look right to me). I actually think it would be more effective with just the title drawing your eye down to shooting.

If there’s still time, I’d swap out that “Boy Who Could Fly” poster for this one, which is even more hilariously misleading. That kite!

My elementary school had two VCR setups and maybe five VHS tapes including this. A lot of the teachers chose it as their go-to “It’s raining, so we’re watching this instead of recess/outside gym/etc.” movie. Now I wonder how many of my classmates only vaguely recall it as a haunting fever dream.

E: Might as well complete the “HUGE huge bummer of a movie about traumatized children disguised as a magical movie full of whimsy and wonder” poster trilogy:

I saw a review of Book of Eli where he mentioned Radio Flyer. He said that there was a review of Radio Flyer that included the line "At this point I realized that there were two possible ways for the movie to end; the wagon would fly or it wouldn't. And either ending would be offensive"

I don't know why that stuck with me, but that's literally the only thing I know about the movie Radio Flyer.

The break from the meter really works for me, actually. I think it's pretty common to end with a shorter line like this, makes it come off more like a... twist, I guess? I don't have the right vocabulary to sound smart about this stuff, but it scans to me.

That’s fantastic and I knew I recognized it from Roger Ebert’s review, which was one of the few pieces of empirical evidence I had as a kid that the movie even existed (and was apparently the hottest screenplay of its time which just makes me go :psyduck: )

I knew that movie existed because the poster was in the front window of the video store where my family went at that time for what felt like a year

I am extremely glad I never once considered getting it
