Travis d'Arnaud confirmed onto the IL, stuff out of the Braves camp not sounding good but they won't know for sure till they fly home tomorrow and get him looked at. Contreras already on the way up, so a real chance for him to make the case to stick around. Can't be worse than Jackson.

Swear to God, I was sitting here telling someone about how Dustin May is right on the cusp of a big breakout, right on the verge of becoming the pitcher Dodger fans have hoped for, and we are seeing it happen right before our eyes, and then within about thirty seconds he threw that last pitch. I loving hate the arm injuries, no matter what team the guy plays for. I read something a while back about the rehab process from TJS and it sounded horrid. Obviously we don't know for sure that May is a TJS situation right now, but it sure had the look of a thing where the pitcher both feels and hears the ligament snap.

If d'Arnaud has ligament damage or something then I think they gotta bring in someone to help see out the year in case Contreras struggles, Jackson sucks and Langeliers won't be ready till next year if then.

Monday May 3rd is going to be Ohtani vs Glasnow. Should be a good matchup. This Angels lineup is tough, they've got 4 guys that just mash and then the rest of the lineup rocking .500 OPSs. I still want to see Walsh back at 1b and anyone else at right field to put Pujols on the bench.

I don't care if Garrett was screaming curses at Rizzo after striking him out, Javy should chill and just try to hit another dinger off him then do a big bat flip. The Cubs are bad, they don't need to be red asses. On the other hand, the picture of Javy giving the finger is extremely funny.

I feel kinda bad for Jackson, as much as I'd prefer him not on the roster still it's gotta be rough that the one thing you have to do is "not get hurt" and you can't even manage that Mathis is basically there to teach Contreras how to play the position at this level, he's essentially a coach who will play every fifth day. still would not be at all surprised to see them bring in someone not in the dying twilight of their career to take those ABs does feel like the wheels could really start coming off, especially if any of the other teams in the East figure things out

I’ll take a pitching prospect getting a cup of coffee and being absolutely poo poo-canned today if it means we get 3 out of 4 against the Dodgers while literally 2/3 of our 25 man roster sits on the IL. However, I would really appreciate it if the Brewers would stop getting injured.

I kinda liked Amir Garret and thought the Cubs beef with him previously was over mostly dumb stuff. But I only just now saw their dust up yesterday when he was taunting Rizzo and he sure seems like an rear end in a top hat. Like I don't care if you celebrate a strikeout but he approaches Rizzo before the AB and was shouting at him the entire time and then called him a fucker after he struck him out. That's a little more than a celebration and is just being a straight up dick. Like you can even tell the his teammates don't really wanna defend him cause he is just sort of embarrassing.

I already said this in the discord, but MLB suspended Castellanos for "inciting a bench-clearing superspreader event" and he basically did nothing. They should suspend Garrett for this, which was an event that 100% caused by him and no one else. Rizzo didn't say poo poo or do poo poo to him. This is true but I also don't think anyone was seriously about to get into a fight on either side. The whole thing was stupid but it all seemed to stem out of nowhere from Garrett trying to pysch himself up to strikeout Rizzo in a game the Reds were losing and it wasn't even to end the inning, just a really bizarre thing to do for a professional player.

I think Baez handled the situation gracefully. I'm just glad the Cubs didn't intentionally plunk anyone as a result and understood that it was just Garrett being an idiot. That's probably the biggest issue I have with Garrett acting like a tool, you are putting your teammates in danger of getting plunked because you want to act like a jackass knowing you'll never have to deal with any consequences.
