Nobody outrules the Marquise de Cat!
I liked it, final high spot after the match could've looked better. Nowhere near as bad as the Revolution explosions. I think as a moment for MJF it works.

Yeah, I like the idea of us seeing MJF push Jericho off then the sound of the crash.

i personally don't mind the ending because jericho taking that bump onto the ramp would have been deeply stupid, but it does crack me up that once again AEW is going to suffer from ending a great match in a disappointing way

I hear you wish to ball, adventurer..
It was a pretty good match, but I've definitely liked a couple of the NXT War Games matches better than it.

I do worry that it's beginning to become a trend that AEW fumbles the ball a lot on the finished of these big gimmick matches.

that was rad I don't get the complaints at all

People are annoyed that AEW continues to show it's forgetting some of the smaller details in gimmicking stuff. Spotty camera switches, bad angles, forgetting that the underside of the crash pad isn't colored to disguise it if it pops up.

I get the frustration, but it didn't ruin the match for me like the explosions did.

I liked the match a lot outside of the poorly timed commercial breaks and the last ambling 10 minutes. Also why did Spears tap to an ankle lock but not being strangled on the cage, it was a fun watch either way.

yeah i mean if this was 1995 ECW he'd have tumbled back off the cage through 2 particle board tables onto concrete and then died of a pain killer OD circa 2004 so crashpad is fine

it could have used some better set dressing though, glossy spray paint and aluminum tape can go far!

They just should have painted both sides of the cardboard. I have no problem with a crash pad. Didn't ruin the match or anything though

Lol Jericho fell onto a cardboard crash pad while the announcers cried he'd broken his back. It looked bad. It didn't need to look bad. It looked fake. It didn't need to look fake. Dumb as hell

the 'we'll go first thing' was def heat of the moment but I wouldn't call this heat of the moment. He surrendered because he thought mjf was totally capable of throwing jericho off the cage and then it was shown he was right.

Honestly the fall seemed dangerous to me because of how far back he went. His head was pretty close to the edge of that pad.

Also this was a match that really justifies Fite. I wouldn’t have enjoyed it nearly as much with PiP.

Commercials making that 4 separate and unrelated matches really killed it, particularly with Jericho and MJF teleporting to the top of the cage and weirdly having a singles match for 10 minutes.
