i was looking forward to watching baseball in mid-2020 and was excited that they were bringing it back with no fans in the stadiums and quarantining the players and so forth. then it turned out that the player safety was a total joke and i felt guilty about watching it now i want to watch baseball but i still don't know if i should feel guilty (i mean, i probably should, but i already know about non-covid reasons that pro sports are bad)

It takes a guy forcing another guy's head down into the ice with all his effort resulting in a lifelong disability before anybody even thinks that what happens at hockey games is inappropriate for a sport. The culture around hockey, especially in Canada's prairies, is so hosed up and toxic and only exists because places like Alberta have an incurable sickness of the soul

I feel bad for how much I enjoy poo poo like hockey fights.
