TSMC is starting to put a lot of factories outside Taiwan from what I hear Also we're gonna get a bunch more CP2077 debacles where people buy games that were designed for the latest hardware except nobody has been able to upgrade for 2 years

I've been hoping for the new Xbox, personally. It has the same capabilities as the PS5, better subscription service, and doesn't need a drat redesign already like the PS5 is apparently getting. Plus I don't think Sony's got any exclusives I want. Still, doesn't mean I'm getting it any time soon I guess.

Buy a custom PC from a place like CyberpowerPC or one of those other large-but-not-poo poo vendors. They have direct contracts with the part manufacturers and even with their markup will cost you less than the added cost of paying open-market price for a 3000-series GPU. I lucked into a PS5 last December and have so far played exactly one PS5 exclusive game on it, rest are also available on PS4. Also I had to spend $70 on The Show while Xbox folks get it as part of gamepass. Feeling like a real rube having bought it at normal price, can't imagine how somebody who bought one on a scalper's markup feels. Living on a prayer that my 1080Ti still has a year or two left in it.

My GPU isn't the only component that's showing its age so I figure I'll just get the whole shebang when I decide enough is enough. Oddly enough it's my HDD that's holding me back more than my GPU is nowadays, even though I'm still using a 1050 ti 4gb (which remains a loving trooper. With some tinkering I managed to even get CP2077 running in a playable state)

It would be funny if there was also a paper shortage at the same time so there wouldn't be any books and all we could do is stare at a blank wall all day for several hours. How long can you stare at a wall uninterrupted? I once pulled off a seven hour stare but I was very high so it doesn't really count. Anyway, post your staring records itt
