Apparently CW is rebooting Legends of the Hidden Temple as a game show for adults. That seems like a weird direction to take it.

Change nothing and treat all contestants as if they're abnormally tall 12 year olds.

Alternatively, make clashes with the temple guards end on knockout or submission only.

I think all of highschool I had aqua teen, space ghost, and tim and eric on loop on my xbox in my room. I'm pretty sure I also just listed 90% of the DVDs I ever bought. After the apocalypse I will be able to recite and act out the early seasons of those shows at the campfire.

No clue how or what they're going to do for an ATHF 2nd movie, but I have to think they aren't going to try the same strategy as the first movie, however you'd describe that strategy. I'm mostly hoping for a kind of super-"The Last loving One For 2003." That episode they made basically by recycling all of the character and art assets they had built up over season 1&2 so that they wouldn't have to make new poo poo and they were burnt out. The aqua teens don't even show up until a few seconds at the end. Plus it was originally meant as a series finale, but then they made more seasons. A whole movie made out of decades old low res assets seems like something they could do.

DaveWoo posted:

Galenanorth, I hope you stick with watching Family Matters, just to see how completely bugfuck insane it gets by the end. I mean, this is an actual episode synopsis from one of the later seasons:

Urkel gives Carl the opportunity to sail a 1700s vessel through Urkel's time travel watch. Unfortunately, the vessel they boarded was owned by pirates. Carl was promoted to captain due to the previous captain's lack of hygiene. But due to the nerd's clumsiness, Urkel accidentally drops his time travel watch overboard. Fortunately, Myra (along with Maxine and Laura) comes to the rescue with a copy of Urkel's time travel watch. But the crew turns on Urkel and Carl after Carl's rules for the pirates. They all engage in a sword duel and are prompted to walk the plank but escape through the watch at the right time and return home where they are late for dinner.

I didn't believe you and then I watched part of it and their casual mention of time travel and teleportation had me start over at the start of season 8. I had no idea it got this whacky, I mostly remember him just being annoying, not a super-scientist. The Key & Peele sketch maybe grounded the series more in my mind than it deserved.

It makes sense to me. Of all the kid game shows from that era it's lingered in that nostalgia discussion the most so if that's the target audience just go for it. As long as everyone gets their sketchers.

Latest Pose was incredible. I felt like the show got a bit too bogged down with Ryan Murphy bullshit in season 2 but he’s not been involved with season 3 creatively and it’s been a big improvement. This episode, even though it brought back the stupidest storyline from s2, was fantastic. Shame it’s the final season.

I bought a bunch of those Mego-style dolls off Entertainment Earth and at my LCS back when they were all dirt cheap on clearance and I kinda regret not buying more of them.

I did immediately jump on that Venture Bros bed set from As Seen on Adult Swim though, and it rocked. The pillowcases still see regular use.
