hey i listed out the current open jira tickets on this spreadsheet with their current status, as you make progress can you send it around, and each of you update it and email it back out to the project group? thanks, this will help us keep track of the status of these jira issues.

I put the spreadsheet on my shared drive, everyone can edit from there instead of emailing it around. it’s here: \\192.168.1.28\shared\Issue Tracker.xlsx

If you have more issues than you can track in an Excel sheet you probably hosed up.

we once hired a new director of software and one of his big ideas was not only to use microsoft word to track issues, but to use microsoft word as a whole issue tracker replacement. he wanted to totally get rid of bugzilla and replace it with emailed .docx files

Hey, just a reminder everyone, please make sure to use the statuses "To-Do", "In-Progress", and "Complete". Please use these exact capitalization of the statuses, otherwise my excel formula won't count them right, and I don't know how to fix it. I've had to fix this multiple times now and there's no reason for it.

Team, Due to recent confusion regarding the Issue Tracking spreadsheet, I have scheduled an hour long education call to go over how to fill it in. PLEASE attend unless you have a customer engagement, as there will not be a recording. I have scheduled the meeting at 12:00 PM Eastern. Thanks,

All, Just a reminder that the spreadsheet we use to track the jiras for the project is now tickets-1.docx, please do not update the old tickets.docx. Have a blessed week! ------- "Life is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it." - Mark Twain

though not part of the main excel spreadsheet we use to track jira tickets, id like to give a shout out to our "we couldn't think of a better way to track affected customers in jira other than shoving every customer name into the ticket title" system. gotta love "[fartcorp][buttco][customerA][dontcare][somebody][tacobell][yospos][bithc][urmom][ligma][justpost][probably terminated their contract 3y ago] oh look an actual description of the problem" still relevant to this thread since lead product manager has informed me that he has a spreadsheet that ingests this issue title format and reports on it somehow

listen everyone, i have a lot more important things to do with my time than to adjust the width of columns in an excel spreadsheet. if i cant see these jira tickets immediately when opening the spreadsheet, i am wasting time playing with formatting.
