Alright, I just watched the final 45 km and while most things have already been said (great stage, Evenepoo, etc) I want to add that I was impressed by Buchmann (although he might have gotten lucky that Bernal hulked out at just the right moment and just to the right extent) and I also really liked the final sprint. Imagine winning this stage, and by a long shot! Phwoar

what.
Remco Merda.

What a phenomenal stage. Ganna destroyed it and it was early enough that the other teams still wanted to put the boot in instead of consolidating their 6th place.

We had not left it yet, but when I would wake in the night, I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.

Amazing stage, so annoyed I couldn't watch it live. These classic style stages in the middle of GT's loving rule, you get a good brakeaway race and then it's tough enough that there's potential GC action.

He looks monstrously strong but he has done a fair bit of a work. You normally don't see an Ineos GC leader hit the front till the third week and bernal has been in the thick of it since day 1.

Once could be a mistake, but he left him behind at least 3 times.

I can't help but feel that saying "you're our GC guy on your first race longer than a week, good luck and also please don't have any meltdowns in front of the entire cycling world" is maybe not the greatest developmental strategy.

Yeah I still don't fully trust Bernal over three weeks coming back from injury, though he clearly feels good.

Simon Yates was invisible today, and I mean that in a good way. Now watch him crack big time on Zoncolan and lose ten minutes because he is a fraud.
