I especially love mobility options that help me murder rooftop camping snipers and engineers. I just yesterday played a bit of BF4 and did the mistake of trying to play a Tank on Siege of Shanghai. The amount of rooftop engineers I can't do squat against is INSANE. I had to hide in the display area on AI with my tank just to not have permanent rockets flying in my direction.

Bleh, I tried to enjoy V, I really did, but I couldn't. Especially not after whatever lobotomy patient was in charge decided "Nah, TTK is too low, I'm gonna just arbitrarily gently caress with all the numbers." That event really killed what fun was left. Now despite being burned so badly by V I'm trying to fight the hype at least enough to hold out until I hear the reports from the first beta.

I actually thought Locker (Conquest) was pretty okay but only when both teams remember the cliff path exists and that it is perfectly okay to use mortars/UCAVs/XM25 airbursts. I wouldn't want to play it too regularly because even getting to that point is a challenge but it can be fun when you get the rare combination of people. The XM25 airburst indoors on locker was also really fun when you know how to use it. Set the laser on the wall in front of a doorway or window and then fire through the gap and watch everyone scatter or die.

I have a 2070 Super but I guess these days my best option might be biting the bullet and buying a premade system with a 3080 in it since the cards are running like $3000 on amazon anyway.

That said I don't think anyone has argued for any particular name for whatever they are so

They are nothing like BR's. Like what? There is no shrinking map, there can be many many survivors, and the win conditions are completely different. If something is a battle royal because there is permadeath (which in tarkov/hunt have totally different consequences) then your brain is severely deficient. A tarkov-like without being tarkov would be amazing.

Solo or Small squad, open world pvp survival, High stakes, loot based. It's a evolution of the formula but it's much more akin to PUBG than it is a looter shooter or a standard BF or COD MP. Hazard Zone sounds like an obvious grab at the Apex/Warzone/PUBG playerbase but I guess we'll find out on the 22nd.

I enjoyed metro mostly because, a) it was a lot of indoor metro environments which was cool (still like the idea of fighting in subways and stuff) and b) because you had basically constant action at all times since it was fairly linear and people weren't so spread out. Also, c) you didn't get poo poo on by air at all~ Speaking of the BF3 map, I dunno if there were other iterations
