You should keep an eye on Chesterfield market Camrath, they just got a utterly ludicrous grant to do up the centre, and after the revamp the whole indoor and outdoor market area and the shops around it will be focusing on just those things - they are even moving McDonald’s out of town centre and towards the park. Existing shops are being moved towards the station and presumably someone in that empty burger king gets a bonus. It’s going to be concentrated on the specialist markets with flea, artisanal, farmer and national and international food market days. Sellers to be curated so no vape or mobile phone stuff - Stalls will be rearranged and running water and electricity for all, plus there is a guarantee that the rates will stay the same or drop to encourage new people. Friend of mine is working on the project and is super exited because finally money!

Try and get a pitch as close to “big market, entrance to Tesco’s” as you can. Because that’s exactly where the Thornton’s used to be and you’ll get people gravitate towards you.

Area around pomegranate theatre to the station is going to be the new shopping centre with new buildings. Even more money is being spent of unfucking what beeching did and they are turning the old working freight line into a fast branch line that will go Chesterfield, barrow hill, renishaw, waterthorpe (Crystal peaks), Sheffield - that’s a compromise with Renishaw estate who didn’t want a new supertram line going through their land.

Duke was an expensive luxury dog lol, although I didn’t pay much because the operation he needed meant he had to be neutered. Bug was given to me. Woman came up to me as I was throwing a ball for Duke in the garden and said “do you want another one for free”. Turns out her grandma was a crazy dog hoarder who never let her dogs out and the council had come in and taken all the dogs apart from this one 6 week old puppy her nan had hidden from them in a draw. First thing she did was the moment I put her down was chew the concrete step and I said “you are a real bug ain’t you” as I took this picture.
