Anyway that's how you IPO a carwash company with if I have my math right is about a P/E of 39, P:S 10, and a price per carwash of $17.7 million.

EVIO, lab services for cannabis testing. Been following them a couple months, it's a pretty poorly managed company to be honest but they've been sitting at rock bottom for a bit, got a new CEO (for whatever that's worth since she's the former COO), and internet chatter says they plan to have their paperwork current by the end of the month. The price has moved quickly a couple times in the last months on rumors, I'm betting that real news is coming that will send it skyward.

Or I'm completely wrong, the stock dies and takes my investment with it. Yay penny stocks!

edit: They also hired a CSO in May who looks like he left a decent 10-year position to join them, my gut says something is building but keep in mind that I have yet to make a profit in stocks.

The building was on fire and it wasn't my fault.
I bought ATOS just before its previous dump off, but it surged back enormously this week. The IV was stupidly high, and I kind of want to hold the stock, so I ended up selling OTM July covered calls for ridiculous premium. After losing way too much money in the past greedily buying short expiration OTM calls, I think I'm now convinced that doing the opposite and selling high IV covered calls is probably a very smart and safe strategy.

Motley Fool publishes a market-cap weighted index of their recommendations:
https://www.fool100.com/
"What is the Motley Fool 100 Index?
The "Fool 100" is a new market-cap weighted index that measures the performance of The Motley Fool’s 100 largest investment ideas."

there is an ETF that tracks it:
https://www.mfamfunds.com/motley-fool-100-index.html

the performance of that ETF is essentially indistinguishable from Vanguard's Megacap Growth ETF:

congrats everyone, you buy MF stocks and you're basically just buying megacap growth

I'm guessing ~2.05-2.10 to 2.25.

The stock used to swing up to 2.75-2.90 weekly from similar lows, but hasn't in like 3 months. So it looks like people are lowering expectations and just cashing out at 2.30 now.

Aside from the stuff like Unusual Whales that Libcrusher mentioned that are giving you real-time stuff to trade on in hours or minutes, there is nothing that’s really worth it in the sense that you can do it all yourself for free with finviz and seeking alpha if you’re willing to sort through stuff (the breadth of coverage on seeking alpha is honestly astounding and the quality is far higher than it has any right to be).

Also check what your broker gives you for research. I have accounts at E*Trade and Wells Fargo. E*Trade research is awful but WF pretty much gives you a Morningstar subscription for free plus other stuff.

Kuppy’s Event Driven Monitor just went behind a paywall and I’d pay for it if it were a couple hundred bucks a year but he wants $2500 and I don’t value my time that much. GuruFocus used to have stuff you couldn’t find on other screeners (short interest, insider stuff) but that’s not true any more. I guess check what you’re looking for and see if anybody sells it. If I could find some place that would let me back test screeners the way I want to I’d pay for it but haven’t found it yet.

If you just want to spend money for professional analysis Morningstar’s pretty reasonable.

I do this too, but the downside is when the IV does it’s thing and tanks the price of the underlying shares. But for something you were planning to hold anyway it makes sense to churn premium.

One thing I’ve been doing a bit recently is selling ITM CCs. Someone in here mentioned AREC, I bought some shares at $2.81 and sold $2.50 calls 30 days out for $0.50. A quick 7% gain, or the stock tanks and I do it again for August. Seems good for meme peaks too, I’ve been riding some BB calls down for more money than the stock is losing just by buying ITM calls and watching the price deflate, and rolling the strike down on the way.

I sold off my SPCE on Friday and had 200 shares of PLTR called away this weekend @$23. I already have a 401k/Roth in mostly S&P500/VTSAX, so I'm not looking for broad ETFs.

On Monday, I'll have ~$7600 to spend. What should I buy? My thoughts:

Buy 150 more $GOON to make 2000 shares because I like even numbers (giving me 3000 shares total between my brokerage and Roth IRA)

Buy back 100 shares of PLTR and sell covered calls on this 100 shares (already have 200 shares with CCs for 1/21/22) at ~.30 delta

Buy 7 shares of AAPL to bring my total to 100.xxx and sell weekly CCs on this at ~.15 delta

This leaves me roughly $3000 and any premiums will go towards VTI.

I am thinking of picking up additional shares of the following, but undecided on how much:

NVO - currently hold 4 shares. P/E of 28.75. Increasing trend over the last 5 years. Recent weight loss drug approved by the FDA.
HASI - currently hold 32.xxx shares. P/E of 45.09. Increasing trend over the last 5 years. Recent boost from Biden's infrastructure plan. 0.35c/share per quarter dividend.

Possible purchase:

BAC - possible dividend increase and buybacks recently approved. Currently near (at least recent) ATH. 0.18c/share quarter dividend.

Brainstorming:

EVs other than TSLA - perhaps GM? Maybe F? I'll never buy an(other) American car, but I may buy stock if they're looking to capitalize on EV tech. I don't trust Chinese stocks like NIO.
Semiconductors - TSM or MU? I had MU for a while and I know there will be growth, but is it already "priced in" with these?
REITs - DEA - mostly federal government tenants. 0.26c/share per quarter dividend. Likely not to increase much.
Walk-in pharmacies - CVS or WBA - all downward trending, but lots of mentions lately in the stock news suggestions.
Fintech - at buttcoins, but if people are going to be using them (they will) would COIN make sense to reap the fees? Perhaps SQ (very high valuation atm)?

Feel free to tell me my ideas are dumb or offer suggestions!

I've been looking hard at VOLT for a while now. Of course it started running while I was still trying to find a buy in price I liked but I think over the next few months it will run even further. If it dips tomorrow I plan to sink some money into it.

Staffing solutions and foreclosure performers seem like they are going to be pretty solid stocks for the next six months.
