it would be better if you could just have MS do a quarterly count of your seats and not tie it up in buying licenses ahead of time. I mean we use on premises AD to control our 365/exchange online licensing so you'd think it would just give you a quarterly correction invoice or something where you're either in credit or debit. it would encourage proper exiting within the busienss at least

Federal government had to drop all discussion of vaccination goals when it became super clear they weren't able to hit any of them and instead lean hard on the "It's not a race!!" message, all the pathways got dropped at that point. But now QLD and NSW and ACT are in lockdown so he has to be seen to be doing something, or at least talking about potentially doing something at some undetermined future point if a currently undefined number of vaccinations can be achieved. He's kicking the can down the road AGAIN because that's all he's capable of doing.

There's absolutely no way the LNP will allow lockdowns and border closures to continue on and off for another 6 months, but I'm also pretty sure that Scummo is betting that the case numbers drop in the next week and the premiers can lift all the lockdowns and the furore will die off and take the pressure off him. Because that's how assholes like Morrison and Johnson and Trump deal with existential threats. If we get more cases and more lockdowns later in the year he'll blame people who have"chosen" not to get vaxxed for holding everyone else back, even though there's not enough doses to go around. If we still haven't reached the Phase 2 requirements by the end of the year they'll push it forwards anyway, arguing that hospitalizations and deaths are way down so we must have hit herd immunity already.

NSW is not coming out of lockdown for months at this point and if they try they'll just make it much, much worse for themselves. So of course you just know they're going to do it at the first sign of cases easing.

the saddest, most frustrating about this whole gently caress up of a federal government and the mismanagement of the pandemic response at the federal level is that those who are the least affected (boomers) are the ones who are going to keep voting for the fuckheads and they will win in yet another undeserved victory of no policies and no long term future planning.

Nah, NSW is kinda hosed for a month or two because Gladys tried to make it as half-assed a lockdown as possible. If she'd fired off a state-wide Stage-4 circuitbreaker lockdown when this first started they'd have potentially zeroed out their cases by now and be getting back to normal. Instead you've got idiots, self-important rich fuckwits with holiday homes, and good old anti-vaxxers able to keep bumblefucking around half of New South Wales unrestricted and wandering over into others around Australia to spread Delta everywhere as well. There's a reason Victoria locks down hard when we do it, and it's because if we don't hit everywhere the fuckwits will flee like roaches beyond the arbitrary perimeter and take COVID with them. Only took the first lockdown to figure that one out with the Mornington Peninsula holiday homes.

Also I'll add, QLD chose to base their 20k last month number based off of arrival card data, emphasising that some of them were coming into meet friends, conveniently leaving out that seeing friends or relatives is the exact same check box on an arrival card, and people reuniting with family should be an entirely valid reason to enter. https://www.theguardian.com/news/da...stralia-and-why also business/leisure tourists have nothing to do with the NSW outbreak because the transport driver was driving a crew from a freight plane

As the mother of two nurses, I'm still wondering how the gently caress a student nurse was allowed to work at three hospitals without being vaccinated. My kids weren't able to start their clinical placements without supplying proof of vaccination/immunity. NSW Health dropped the ball badly on this and we now have a cluster of 10 because of it.

Pfizer two days ago: Painful arm for the first 24 hours, and now it's not outwardly noticeable unless I push on it Felt like the shot gave me a 24 hour head cold with sinus pressure and lots of snot and sneezing, but that has pretty much cleared up Next shot in 19 days....Hopefully it will be the same as the first. The most stressful time was directly after they gave the shot. There was a room where I had to go sit for 20 minutes to make sure there was no adverse reactions/anaphylactic shock. And of course, being peaked with stress hormones I was hypersensitive to everything "Did my heart just skip a beat?!" "Am I breathing easily or do I feel like it's getting harder!?!" "Why am I sweating?!" "Am I having a panic attack?!"

Oh hi Australia thread. Come hang out on goontu.be with me sometimes if you want. In other news, people in brisbane seem to be generally fed up with relatively loose restrictions. I had some really passive aggressive talk in the lift the other day when I was wearing a mask. People seem pretty flippant about the whole thing. We had this lady in newstead just keep her eyebrow salon open then police told her to stop. Kind of a funny super low key on-brand for brisbane act of "political dissidence".

You are correct. I'm currently studying nursing and getting my vaccinations up to date has been a pain (I'm a weird age where I was too young for a full MMA, but too old to get Hep B and Varacella in the normal order of things), but the COVID vaccine is not specifically noted on the list of required shots. I very easily could have not got my COVID shots at all, though we have been provided with information by the uni to get them. That said, this is in Tasmania, so they may not have the same urgency.
