Also he's a skinny 12 year old boy who weighs like 30 kilos.

It bothered the total poo poo out of me when Sky would pull these 7foot tall 100 kilo TT specialists over the top more because it seemed so unbelievable.

Sorry I'm still trying to wipe Rohan Dennis shredding the peloton and winning the KOM at the loving Stelvio from my memory

Skinny 12 year old can also take on the field in a flat ITT without breaking a sweat.

I do wonder if he is quasi human and just went for it all right now and the field will claw back some time over the remainder of the TDF, kind of similar to Bernal at the Giro this year .

Pog is probably doped to the gills but so is every other professional athlete and at least he's fun to watch. The years of a final selection of 10 guys riding up a mountain with 4 sky riders on the front neutralizing everything were just incredibly boring and I'll take this any day.

I dont disagree. Though the Giro was a lot of fun this year with Martinez dragging a clearly exhausted Bernal up the mountain.

Not quite the Sky trains of the past, but still fun teamwork.

I had a video of that when I was about 6.

I remember it being shit.

The Giro was good because Bernal rode an incredibly un-Sky race. He attacked rather than just reacting, he went solo, he yo-yo'd around in his quality from day to day. He looked good, but not like a robot built to win bike races.

Also the other teams tried to actually win instead of falling into a race for second once Sky had control of the race. Stage 20 was so fun, it was just Caruso throwing it to the wind despite having a fantastic second place wrapped up if he didn't crack

We will see if Pogacar actually shows some weakness like Bernal in the Giro. Right now all signs point to him being an Armstrong like terminator.

The big difference is really just that UAE have a lack of control over the peloton which for many reasons was never a problem with USPS.

Like if the group tried to force a big dangerous break like on stage 7 Armstrong would make some calls to have your career ended lol

I don’t really mind because it is fun, but did you miss the part where he did a flat TT in a time Ganna would struggle to beat.

pfft my hero Marco Pantani did that in the Giro in 1998 and he definitely wasn't cheating so I don't know what you are talking about.

It was a 6.3-6.5w/kg ride so big numbers it But comparable to Bernal at the Giro. Vuelta will be fun

Thanks- this is what I was looking for. Those numbers look more normal than I was expecting tbh. In retrospect Formolol :gonk: did a hell of a lot of work for pog that the guys ahead didn't have. Carapaz wasteman status confirmed.

I've been mountain biking in Tignes a few times (great place, as it happens, some awesome trails.). It's a really. Really. Long way up. I cant imagine riding up there, especially after a days riding. Even driving up there seems to take forever.
