I should too, but they're so good. I'm almost G10 on my scorch at this point, but just got G6 on my pilot.

Most of us seem to be running random other networks just to display funny tags in game like CUM or ACAB.

We have a good crew going on the marvel heroes private server discord. Had some full goon stacks last week but even before the big player surge it wasn’t hard to get one or two people to join up for some matches: https://discord.gg/b6Fz8Asv

I think it was for owning BF1 before TF2 came out, but it might just be for owning BF1 at any point. I really wish it was on more than just Ion; I remember Ion also having a Mountain Dew promo skin as well. I don't think any of the other Titans got promos.

To be fair, in Frontier Defense at least, Scorch and Ion just crush out damage. There's a few specific maps that it can be a challenge to MVP on against Titans more specifically suited to them like wide open maps, but for the most part Scorch just shits out huge damage. On the enclosed maps it's just ultimate over and over.

Unless there's a ton of those loving flying drones, Scorch is pretty useless against those things, but then so is almost every Titan or Pilot weapon, it's amazing how deadly an enemy can be not because they deal a ton of damage but simply because how hard they are to actually kill with anything

Thermal Shield is my most used tool against flying drones when I'm playing Scorch but yeah they're really annoying.

Flame shield or just mashing punch ruins drone swarms. Punching is best done from the side, flame shield you just walk in front and say hello.

And if you're scorch you're probably MVPing every round so just buy a couple auto turrets and call it a day.

the only titan better suited to deleting drones in FD, in my opinion, is a legion burning a smart core and that's kind of a waste of an ult, but all of them can do the melee clear. Flame shield is just perfect for it though.

The Dry Dock or whatever the name is on Frontier Defence is hilarious with Scorch, he just eats and eats. The flying drones in that one just funnel at you and you just delete them with the flame shield.

Picked this up a while back on sale and playing it for the first time - this campaign is great. The level variety is fantastic and the Pilot / Titan switches shake up the formula perfectly. What really got me is the time traveling mechanism on the level I'm on now - it's such a clever gameplay mechanic that rewards creativity while also being super atmospheric and building the sense of mystery. Just A+ well done game design, super fun!

The game is insanely good poo poo and I periodically give the campaign a run through when I want to play something but can't be arsed learning how to get good at something new. If you've just done Effect and Cause then you're well versed in the floor is lava, wall running is life, death from above skills the game tries to instill in you. Game gud, enjoy.

I can only aim if I'm not wall surfing or wall surf if I don't have to aim so I'm less the angel of death on a hoverboard the game wants me to be and more of a parkour specialist who then turns into a gently-strafing idiot the moment an enemy appears.

Didn't see the end of that time-travel campaign level coming, super atmospheric. I also respect the hell out of them for being like "hey here's a super cool new mechanic it's completely redefining how you play the game AND IT'S GONE. WE HAVE MORE AWESOME poo poo PLANNED TIME FOR A FASTBALL."

I am just overwhelmed by how many guns there are. I wind up running around with the weirdest setup because I think a shotgun would be cool but then I'm like oh some sort of grenade launcher?! Then enemies start shooting at me from a mile away. Still good. Also I have no idea how to use half the titan loadouts. Feel like I got a handle on the game then it suddenly became a D-Day multi-titan drop where my allies are engaging in hand-to-hand titan combat while I'm sniping dudes with a rail gun. The game just isn't stale.

I mean who the heck thought of doing a wall run, then going back in time where the wall is 10 feet to the right so you can run on that wall, then jumping back and switching time again so the wall is back on the left. So drat clever. When I swapped back in time and saw that I think I legit said out loud "oh ok that's loving great".

This is the problem with publicly held corporations. They have a fiduciary responsibility to maximize profits, so now that they have that Apex Legends money they are basically required to keep chasing that Apex Legends money forever and we never get Titanfall 3. To let them make Titanfall 3 would be a waste of money and financially irresponsible.

Grave? Shovel! Let's go.

I snagged this at target over the winter for like 15 bux or something ridiculously cheap and my god this game is GREAT.

I've barely even dipped into multi but the single player was just the best. I haven't played a single person FPS in years and it was absolutely top tier balls to the wall fun, to echo literally every other person in the thread.

Honestly I don't know how people play Eternal on a controller without paddles. Too many buttons that you frequently need to use while aiming and/or jumping.

The best way to get good at wall running is to test the wall-grip's basic mechanical limitations. So, when you hit a wall and start running on it through experimentation you may eventually come to notice that staying on the wall has nothing to do with momentum, but rather it's a timed mechanic the duration of which can be measured by the sound of your pilot jump jets. You don't even have to wallrun in a forward direction but rather you can simply stop dead on the wall or even run backwards, and as long as you leap off the wall to another wall surface before the jump jet sound ceases you wont slip and plummet and can just keep chaining jumps forever. It's easiest to practice this in a perpendicular corner with bumper jumper controls, see how long you can use two close walls to maintain height while not really moving from your position, and then try to do it with your back to the wall!

Good luck pilots.

I actually try not to wall run, everyone in the game does it so I know exactly where to shoot. I'll bounce off a wall here and there but I mostly do a lot a sliding and double jumping.

I empathize with this - what worked for me was music. Something with a steady beat in the background really helped me catch my rhythm. Doesn't have to be loud or anything, just something you can kind of feel in the back of your head while you warm up.
