It's been long enough that they can just kind of change the set dressing and details of the plot and go back to the basics with the Angels, so hopefully no Statue of Liberty with a snarl this time around.

Moffat had a very effective, simple concept for the angels, so of course he had to make them more and more complicated with different rules each time they appeared.

Let me ask you something - why does Doctor Who have an episode of the Doctor pouring out his heart and soul to prevent a child sacrifice by a crystal clear cipher for the Order of the Black Sun?
