I've been wondering whether they might incorporate old maps (or features of them) into the new maps, especially with sectors consisting of multiple points. With that in mind, I could see them alluding to classic maps in sections of new maps (eg. Damavand Peak's base jump as in the trailer, or have Metro as a sector on a city map like Kaleidoscope).

Thinking about it I actually liked a lot of the DLC maps in BF3 except the ones in the End Game release because those were all just incredibly flat and boring but without the amount of vehicles that would make flat and boring at least somewhat interesting. The only one I can think of I didn’t like at least in part was a map that was just a snowy mountain and it took forever to get anywhere.

I don't get the hate towards metro, grind, locker, etc... people like get big points and those maps are great for that. Can't really blame the playerbase for flocking to maps that have higher SPM when the game has a ton of unlocks behind ranks/weapon kills.

I was one of those jerks that liked to play Metro. Get on RUS side, go to the first escalators with a TUGS and just watch the mini map for people getting ready to run up. One of my favorite glitches in BF3 Metro was throwing C4 on the ground where your team was, change teams, then set off said C4 and get like 10 kills. I hope this one has the M1014.

The problem isn't even the amount of kills or whatever it's that the gameplay in 95% of cases is "Stand next to tiny chokepoint, throw grenades, shoot maybe 1 or 2 guys before someone inevitably kills you and pushing through is basically a miracle" Like sure you get a lot of kills but it sure as hell isn't interesting to me. the close quarters maps were so cool. Dice really put a ton of destructible debris in the maps so each shootout was like a John Woo movie. I hoped BF4 was gonna be like that but they really scaled it down for the interiors
