I just watched The Green Knight. Good movie! Is the story of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight ever referenced in any of the Fate deuterocanon? I don’t think Saber ever mentions it in FSN.

The rights/ip stuff is kinda expensive to figure out licensing and so its never really been a priority as the fanbase that would buy/play FSN/Tsukihime is small and niche. I'd like to think with the new mainstream establishment of digital distribution on major platforms like Steam, the PS Store, etc that maybe it'll see an official release especially with FGO's modest success but who knows. Has Mahoyo ever been licensed or are we still waiting on that?

I don't know what it is about Type-Moon, but either the money they demand for publishing rights in other regions is absurd or they just refuse to let other regions localize it. Aniplex USA employees have brought up the prospect of doing it and it's been rejected because Aniplex doesn't want to put a team together to do it. So even the company that publishes all of Type-Moon's poo poo won't do it. Every spin off game in the world will get a western release (Except the one Nasu was heavily involved in, of course) and every anime will get a localization, but the VNs just never get it. The closest it's ever gotten is FGO and that game isn't entirely visual novel, even though some chapters would have you think otherwise. TsukiR's probably gonna go the exact same route with an inevitable anime adaptation being used in place as a way for non-Japanese audiences to experience it.
