Quick update of the last two weeks walking shelter dogs. Some are more reluctant at first ...  but ear scritches usually help break the ice.  This one, Wilma, is the most affectionate of the bunch.   Ella is a close second though.    I think I posted Leo before, but he's not a blurry, fluffy black hole in this one.  If you ever need your floor mopped, Emma is your gal.

My GF’s strategy against no take only throw is to throw a toy out of view, then hide in a closet. When Kiki tries to find her, she drops the ball. Me I just play keep away with her. By which I mean she runs away from me when I try to take the ball, and I chase her.

Neither of mine like to play Fetch, it sucks. It would be a great way to tire them out at the dog park but nooooo they just want to walk around and eat the tall grass.

Just started going off lead on a quite stretch of our twice daily walk and Aubrie has discovered her love of sticks. Its great cos I don't need to bring a ball with me!

It took me a while to get over my upset at this thread but I'm happy to report that Apollo is doing just fine. Little bugger tried to steal dinner tonight while he thought it was unattended. Also, here's a photo from 2009:  This was Sassy, a black lab who was much loved by my family until she and her sister Midnight passed to old age.
