The Olympics are an enormous waste of money and a curse on every city dumb enough to get conned into hosting them. If they're going to keep doing them they should just stay in one city forever so the barren husks of Olympic villages that will never be used for anything else don't litter the globe. I like that people from all over the world get to compete in lots of different sports and be really awesome at them and I can watch from home. It's really dumb that you get them all together during a global pandemic and don't require vaccination, though.

It's insane that vaccination wasn't mandatory. we though. I like the concept of the Olympics but it's way to big of a waste to have it change. I heard an idea that it should just always be in Greece, which I think is cool. It should also be paid for by the UN and not ads. Also I've been watching using a VPN for Canada. Goddamn is it hard to watch what you want to watch. Should just be a free app.

I watched some olympics at my friend's house on Saturday. Best part was when the Tunisian guy who barely qualified for the finals won gold. I don't really care much about the American/Chinese favorites winning, but it's pretty great to see some guy completely unexpectedly win. I still don't really understand, but after a while I realized that they can just keep their top scores for the trick part (so busting their rear end isn't quite as big of a deal). Felt bad for the one American guy who just hosed up over and over trying to do some hard trick and started yelling after each failure.
