My brother manages IT poo poo at Bloomsburg University and makes $53K. Very cool One of my other brothers worked for Geisinger Health Plan and just jumped ship from a $65K job to make $105K as a consultant. 100% remote.

I would love to work on some big-rear end WANs but I fuckin hate being on call. especially if it was for some big CDN where if I’m getting a phone call it means half the world can’t reach some giant social media platform or whatever fuuuuuuck that

a thing that's often glossed over with european welfare is payment caps. sometimes they are good (63k/year unemployment assistance cap in latvia, where minimum salary is 430 euro/month), sometimes they are bad (58k/year unemployment assisstance cap in luxembourg, where minimum salary is 2100 euro/year)
