I can't believe they're actually showing this entire stage instead of going live right after the summit of the final mountain. Looks like a good stage, too

Why, what happened there

The motorbike went right when the course when left. Everyone apart from Aime De Gendt and Remco followed it, handing the race to Remco.

Ah, one of the classic blunders.

I just saw that Aru will retire literally a week from now, after this Vuelta. I hope he does something today then!

We had not left it yet, but when I would wake in the night, I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.

Rip, just rip. At least this removes any shadow of a doubt that retiring is a good idea

I feel like me bigging this vuelta up for weeks is the reason its been so shite and for that im sorry.

Unless he's going to absolutely monster this final climb, Kruijswijk has spent a lot of energy for not a lot of gain.

He is losing time. No idea what the gently caress he spent those watts for. It's not like Jumbo need the TV time.

This is maybe the one interesting thing about this stage: Jumbo clearly don't think they're going to need him to help Roglic in the last week, because they would have ordered him back hours ago otherwise. It's.. just not very interesting, with the final stage ITT

Jakobsen getting the green jersey is the only thing mildly interesting about the tour of spain. Some chick getting a water bottle in a gravel race has generated more drama. Anyway, bring on worlds and PR...

Agreed. Roglic said as much and Bernal said he was 'sick of all the following' so he just went for it.

I reckon Yates will try tomorrow too, just to see what happens. Ineos have had a rubbish Vuelta despite that team lineup so they will want a stage at least.
