it makes a lot of sense. Something like 99.95% of the people who would follow Mary Cagle's regular twitter would see the link to a feed of cat images and decide to follow it also. The number of people who follow her cat twitter who would think "I also want to see this person's comic updates and talk" is probably decently high, but not quite as overwhelming a percentage.

Normally that kind of shading indicates a 5 o'clock shadow, but it seems too well styled for that. If I had to guess, I'd say he's in the early stages of trying to grow a beard, but it hasn't fully come in yet.
