Purple Haze (Zeus and Izanagi) (c) vs #STRONGHEARTS (T-Hawk and El Lindaman) - All Asia Tag Team Titles
- Izanagi was less of a weak link than usual, the SH duo were rad as hell despite being half the size of their opponents, and Zeus remains an absolute beast.

NEXTREAM (Kento Miyahara and Yuma Aoyagi) (c) vs Shotaro Ashino and Suwama - AJPW World Tag Team Titles
- Considering the depth of talent here it would have been way more shocking if the match was just mediocre. I was kind of wary of a Suwama/Ashino tag team but then they pulled out a rad as hell powerbomb/German and I was completely sold

Miro (c) vs Eddie Kingston - AEW TNT Championship
- A fun beef battle. A dumb complaint considering the crowd hasn't been allowed to cheer for so long, but I kind of wish they were quieter here. They drowned out the beefy chop sounds I so crave, even seeing how they tore up Miro's chest Eddie's chops didn't seem super impactful since I couldn't hear their sounds over the crowd.

Satoshi Kojima vs Jon Moxley
- Another fun beef battle

The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson) (c) vs Lucha Brothers (Penta El Cero Miedo and Rey Fenix)- AEW Tag Team Championships
- Some great moments in this, Fenix in particular did some very impressive things. Let out a laugh when the guy on the outside threw the black bag into the ring over the cage and it went straight to Matt who promptly dropped it. Not my favourite cage match this year but still very enjoyable

Kenny Omega (c) vs Christian Cage - AEW World Championship
- Chekov's Table got a mention, that's good enough for me. The triple dragon suplex was cool, but it definitely seemed like Kenny was working a half speed to what I remember him being,. Not sure if that's so Christian can keep up or just because he's a megaheel

Fun show on the whole, couple of mediocre matches but nothing that felt like a waste of time

Masa Kitamiya vs Katsuhiko Nakajima from NOAH Cage War, which i've linked previously in this very thread

SG Bamboo posted:

This already has the required amount of votes, but I saw that some hero had uploaded the entire show to Youtube a few weeks ago, so I hope some people that wouldn't have otherwise take the opportunity to see what NOAH has to offer. Story leading up to the match is fairly simple, these two have been teaming on and off for nearly a decade and are the current tag team champions. Kitamiya (the beefy one) has left their stable claiming he has always hated Nakajima (the handsome one with the curly hair) but neither guy wants to let go of their half of the tag belts so they are having a hair vs hair match in a cage to settle the grudge. It's a no crowd show because NOAH is very weird about what shows get crowds but it really adds to the atmosphere that it's just two guys getting all their buds (the guys in red at ringside) and sorting poo poo out behind closed doors. Also they have a drone in the studio which allows for some real cool aerial shots.

This match solves nothing outside of one guy losing their hair. Both guys are back to beating the poo poo out of each other the very next day and it's glorious

Nakajima vs Kitamiya in Noah was pretty excellent.

EDIT: beaten.

I've no doubt that someone who follows AEW week to week would prefer the one from All Out, just like I prefer the Noah one as an avid watcher of that promotion. I loving love Katsu Nakajima and couldn't believe when that absolute prick Kitamiya turned his back on their partnership and then didn't have the good graces to give up the tag belt that Kongoh earned.

Way I see it it's like the Shun Skywalker vs Yamato match. The Dragon Gate contingent called it their match of the year, I consider it closer to the middle because I didn't have any connection to either guy

Dragon Gate - Storm Gate Night 4 @ Korakuen Hall - 9.8.21

HM:

•YAMATO/Kagetora vs Kota Minoura/Jason Lee
•Strong Machines J/G/K vs Susumu Yokosuka/King Shimizu/Genki Horiguchi
•Eita/Diamante/Dia Inferno vs Shun Skywalker/Dragon Dia/La Estrella

MOTYC:
•4-way Elimination: Masaaki Mochizuki vs KAI vs Ben-K vs Kota Minoura

Really solid undercard. That last trios match would've been MOTYC if not for the DQ ending, even though it works with what R.E.D has been doing lately. Adding top rope eliminations surprisingly added to the pinfall/submission stips for the 4-way, and made the final two feel more desperate. It also capped off the narrative throughline of the show where Kota demanded a spot because he pinned the champion.
