Holy poo poo. Saddest news for years. gently caress cancer. Someone make a massive collection of Norm videos before they disappear, and seed it, tia, an even greater tragedy would be for Norm's body of work to gradually disappear too. Nothing lasts forever Norm, I hope you're in Heaven making the saints crack up at your jokes then feel guilty for laughing but come back for more.

The way he went out is totally his style of humor too. "Hey here's a good one. Who secretly fights cancer for nine years and dies?" *slumps down behind desk*

Well i'm no doctor, but i'm pretty sure if you have cancer, and it kills you, the cancer dies at the same time. That's not a loss, that's a draw.

I thought the breaking bad finale had issues then read Norm's (since deleted) twitter thread and his interpretation makes it into a masterpiece. that Walt died frozen and unknown in the car in New Hampshire and the rest of the episode was his dying fantasy with clues coming from the music, dialogue being strange and full of movie references, his ability to go anywhere as a fugitive without difficulty, reconciling with his wife, outsmarting his business partners, rigging up a magic gun to wipe out the nazis and free Jesse, then dying as the smartest man in town. This site has a summary https://bleedingcool.com/movies/norm-macdonald-tells-you-how-breaking-bad-really-ended/ I know El Camino doesn't support this theory but still Norm may have been right.

SilvergunSuperman posted:I've heard that theory before and thought it was plausible but Norm really sells it, drat. Yeah like most of America I was super invested in season 5 but felt let down by the finale and how up to that point they seemed committed to the theme that Walt's decisions had put Jesse into a living hell with no escape, gotten his brother in law murdered, ruined the lives of his family, and meant he was going to die a literal nobody in New Hampshire. Then it felt like they threw that all out as never mind, Walt IS smarter than everyone and can fix everything in a very tiny time window where absolutely everything will go perfectly. Felt like the end of 1978 Dawn of the Dead where the guy is about to die surrounded by a horde then never mind heroic music starts and he's jump kicking zombies for an escape outta nowhere, and Norm summed it up so well. But yeah Norm owned.

Check out this channel. This guy has a huge archive and has been putting out regular compilation videos themed around subjects. He's posted lots of clips I've never seen before and stuff that has been taken off youtube in the past. He also hocks lovely merch in the middle of videos but it's not bad. https://www.youtube.com/c/ImnotNorm/videos
