Only emojis can express my pure, simple stupidity.

fellas, serious, don't sleep on this debut album

I've given it plenty of listens now, and it's great through and through. I think track 6. Breathless is my current favorite from it.

Who will win the greatest battle of them all?

Saw Glass Animals last night, pleasantly surprised by how awesome it was! Top notch production and I'd even say it captured the vibe of a festival headliner

This rules, saw it released and made a (since forgotten) mental note to check it out. Thanks!

I've had this Amyl album basically on repeat since Friday. It loving rips. Every song is a banger. Was listening to it last night and walking around town in the dark when "Knifey" came on and I almost teared up. Powerful stuff

idk man, they suck so bad. I remember way back one of my friends who really liked them said something like "they're so cool, they always release the worst songs from their albums as singles" after Don't Sit Down or I'll Move Your Chair came out on the radio. Yeah it's so cool to make lovely songs dude.

There was a point a few years ago where the Black Keys, Arctic Monkeys, and Cage the Elephant all had radio hits at the same time and I could not identify who did what song.

Oh I certainly don’t hate them. It was just a point where I only had casual exposure to them and most of rock radio just kind of blended together at that point.

The band they were when they started and the band they were in 2013 are also very different.

The wife and I saw that in the theater in Tallahassee when it first came out, and then the next day went down to Gainesville to see them live. We somehow talked our way backstage and ended up hanging out with Glenn Kotche for like an hour and a half. It was amazing.

He explained the tube-tom trick he used on YHF to us, which you see in the film but it isn't really clear what he's doing. Basically there's a bit of surgical tubing attached to the little holes in the sides of his toms, so by blowing into the tubes he can sorta slightly inflate his toms briefly, changing their pitch. Dead simple but such a cool trick.

New (or first half of the new?) Arthur Moon album is out. The songs we've already heard are good, there's not much at all on there that we haven't heard. A bit disappointing TBH. If the ST didn't act as a breakout this sure won't.
