I also bounced off prey the first time I played it but really loved it on returning. It's wild how much the game transforms as you go from a cowering weakling at the beginning to a god of destruction towards the end

AnimeIsTrash

It took me a little while to get into prey too. I got stuck on the beginning portions of the game where ammo is relatively scarce and you have to find ways around the map without battling everyone.

I made the mistake of buying one of them for the 3ds and in the plot of the game they reveal that you're an adopted child so you can marry your siblings.

After grinding out the Real Estate section... I think I'm just going to power through the story and call it a day. I've realized that I'm not having as much fun with the minigames as I am the ludicrous melodramatic whiplash of the side-stories and the main content.

oh I also just beat Fallout New Vegas last weekend for the first time. I had put in about 150 hrs over a bunch of different saves but finally decided to actually beat the game. Now I just need to play the dlcs. Heard they are pretty good.

I felt like they were a bit overhyped. Not bad but people acted like they were exceptional. They're worth playing but also worth tempering your expectations vs how the internet sells them.

My fave was whatever the casino one was just because it really mixed up the gameplay.

It's going to be fun to see people realize their old nostalgia doesn't hold up in a poorly made remaster. I saw a couple of people stream it and it just looks like they remade d2 in the d3 engine with some cutscenes added.

People still love Warcraft III's multiplayer so much that when reforged gutted it and left it for dead, someone singlehandedly wrote a 3rdparty matchmaker for it fueled by what I imagine was pure spite

no need to invoke spite, reforged is actually just worse than the original (not least it looks worse), so makes perfect sense to go through that if you do like it.

It's kind of incredible how badly they hosed it up. With the brood war release all they really did was touch up the graphics.

Yeah... I mean, it's all well-written, but it's also all still told in the clunky Fallout dialog style. If you're able to derive a deep emotional connection from that then maybe but they don't suddenly turn the game into a Last of Us style cinematic experience.

Again, they're worth playing, but expect them to just be more NV in new environments with different characters.

it was *really* good in 2011 and as far as Fallout writing goes it's some of the best but it's still a 3D Fallout game so mechanically it's a bit janky and will happily crash on you and send you back an hour and a half in progress

for some reason sierra madre was absolutely the worst with random crashes when i decided to play the dlcs last year and it became so frequent later in the story i stopped playing and didn't go back. it's a bummer, too, because i was starting to get into a groove with tight corridor navigation which felt fresh in a series with a lot of wandering outdoors with internal interludes
