For loving years I'd tell people about the guy in Star Wars who drank through the top of his head and no one believed me. I even went through every edition of Star Wars on VHS and DVD as Lucas released them, hoping to see him hiding somewhere in the cantina scene. Turns out, he was in the Holiday Special. So, yeah, fair enough. Everyone pretty much blocked that one out of their minds. EDIT:

There's a lot of cool unused things in Star Wars concept art that it's a pretty fertile ground for new ideas for more material. But then also it's sometimes a thing where people will use things from concept art or earlier drafts as a deep-cut reference for their nerd cred, or using it as a crutch so that they don't have to take the risk of coming up with something new that people could accuse of not fitting with the Star Wars aesthetic. And I don't like that so much. But man, that concept art.
