Wakatsuki's whole thing in Asura of "he's not just a super-strong fighter, he's a super-experienced fighter" made for some great fights. Wakatsuki vs Mutenba was an amazing fight, because it didn't just boil down to slamming gimmicks against each other. They both spent a lot of the fight trying to compensate for the damage they'd taken in previous matches while trying to ward off each others' decisive moves. Meanwhile, this fight was basically just Wakatsuki having all of his moves dodged or countered while Fei tries to take him out by just punching and kicking. Yeah, sure, the powerup made him really really strong, but the last person who tried to just punch Wakatsuki into submission was Julius, and that's a hell of a fight to live up to.

I still think the funniest outcome is waka gets back up and wins and then Ohma loses again. Niko is obsessed with him despite the fact that not only did he already lose once he sort of died too

whatever all the fuss over ohma is about, i don't think it is due to his fighting ability. he's a top tier kengan fighter, but to get there he had to essentially kill himself.

Looks like Fei wanted to make a big show out of clowning his Kengan opponent to impress the other niko for his trial. The last chapter was very good. The panel of Wakatsuki's face was great, and the decision to show Julius thinking "don't you loving dare let him go" was just the absolute best choice. Of course Julius is the one man who knows exactly what Wakatsuki has to be thinking in that moment. I also thought the page with the ambiguous dialogue was great. It isn't clear whether or not it's from Wakatsuki or Fei's point of view (the one right before Fei pops) The power up is bullshit and I hope that Sandrovich moves away from it, but this chapter was pretty cool. It is pretty funny to think that in-universe, Fei basically just went super saiyan for five minutes and then exploded.

Between Ohma solidifying the optimal way to use the Possessing spirit, and Setsuna showing us that Fallen Demon is still equally suicidal as a full-tilt Advance Fei just maxing out both and basically killing himself isn't any better. Then yeah, blood bullets were a thing.
