I've watched a bunch of videos of this and it really looks just like Battlefield 4, only with slightly newer graphics. It's just so lame that they decided to do a future game and then set it in such a near-future era it's basically indistinguishable from earlier iterations of the modern warfare battlefield games, instead of doing something distinctive and cool like 2142 with all it's unique modes, vehicles, weapons, etc. What am I missing? Are there any actual futuristic things that I just didn't pick up on in trailers?

The rx580 was basically an overclocked rx480, the 560 is slower than the 580 so that's the reason.

That period of time for AMD was...interesting the RX 500 series is almost the exact same process and architecture as the 400 series but with some tweaks to allow it to clock slightly higher. The first number, 4 or 5 is the generation while the 60 or 80 is the tier within the generation. The 560 was about ~50% slower than the 480. It's like comparing a 980Ti (the flagship of it's generation) to something like the 1060 the next year.

Its easier for them to just pick the low end card of a generation as reference than to like individually call out the exact minimum for each old gen. The only gameplay videos out (aside from the Beta trailer) were from the tech test, which like BF4's tech test, had reduced graphics settings/performance. Most of the futuristic stuff is probably coming from the specialist gadgets.

So the recommended specs have definitely increased since first shown. Originally they said 2060 which made me happy since that's what I own, now it's saying 3060. Guess the technical alpha gave them a lot of insight since it ran like garbage.
