Hi Marcy! I'm so sorry about Ash. I actually have been trying to figure out how long it will take before I stop getting super sad pretty much daily thinking about one day having to put my cat down :c is this just new cat dad poo poo and it'll go away? I had this experience with a dog years ago and I guess it left more of a mark on me than I realized. I feel like it's getting better and I can appreciate her without having that in the back of my head. sorry to hear about Ash, the worst part of owning a dog or a cat is that they don’t live long enough. i have had to see a few pets go and the only thing that really helped me was time, but meanwhile remember that they had it good with you and at least they don’t outlive you and get passed off to a distant relation who doesn’t really want them like a parrot or something

i have this fish toy and all 4 kittens and the cat are terrified of it. the dog goes nuts for it but she’d bite through the battery pack instantly so I have to hide it from her

At the vet again for the third time in the last seven days. Alby's got a little anemia and fleas so the vet is following up to make sure he's feeling better after his flea treatment. I like the vet because I get to see all the weird cats people bring in but I wish I didn't have to go so often. Update: Alby is okay but I have to take him back in next month for another check up.

the vet i go to has a 15 year old deaf and blind cat that sits in a basket behind the counter:  a couple times an hour, she stands up and screams until someone comes to pet her. it’s an insane scream and a mix of a meow and a yowl too because she’s deaf, loudest cat i ever heard
