Going to be playing this, mostly just to have some drop in/drop out multiplayer game instead of all the matchmaking stuff. It's wild to see all the "influencers" just parroting the same few lines in the same order every time DICE releases a 30 second clip. Also hilarious that the best argument that they can come up with for specialists is that you can play a game mode without specialists.

That's a bit excessive, like 3 or 4 Hamada's. I really don't think spending most of my time running between objectives is super engaging, the best maps in BF1 were smaller, like Amiens. I really like big maps, but if I wanted to play walking simulator I'd play Hell Let Loose.

Specialists are cool, actually, because having a larger pool of cool things possible in game means more emergently cool stuff. It's fun to be able to play a medic with an LMG or a grapple shotgun guy, while still having a way to deal with vehicles or having recon balls or whatever. The class system was fine, and this will be fine. The reason people are telling you to gently caress off to non-specialist modes is because after a while, trying to re justify the same points over and over to people who just want to be unhappy about something gets really grating! Map size is a much more real issue, but we'll see with vehicle drops anywhere and such if it turns out to be good.

It served me well for Far Cry 6 with Ubi's version. That said 2042 and that crazy rear end portal option and all the old maps...I'll be shocked if I'm not buying it. It's hilarious, I've been playing B1 and B4 a lot recently and haven't paid much attention to 2042, so I had no clue about the Portal thing until I saw a random Jackfrags video on it yesterday. That said I was B1 maps were included, but eh that's game is still easy to find matches for. But with all of those maps I don't even care about no SP, as Battlefield has some cool missions here and there, but the overall stories...eh.

Is the EA Pro that comes with gamepass included in that Nov 12th early access launch? Even if for 10 hours that's plenty of time to figure out if it's improved at all since the beta.
