If this resolves into "you failed because you tried to do it alone in secret" I think I can get back on board with that.

Of course there's also "she's sleeping and doesn't hear any of that" as a possibility.

One of the things I love about this comic is that there are so many different flavors of goon in it.

It turns out he hasn't been planning to murder Jordan this whole time but his boss, it's been intentionally leading us to believe that's the case with framing and circumstances but his feed is actually monitoring his boss' car to probably kill him with a bomb.

I love the use of space in this one, it uses the whole frame for the joke. You could do the same joke with just a centered shot of the hawk and the monkey, but that would land differently.

I'm appreciating this arc so much more now than I did when it was first in papers. Jeremy's internal monologue in the previous strip really nails the worldview of a teenager in how any drama will feel like the most important thing in your life. I think it's just great that our teen boys get to test the boundaries of their friendship with such sincerity, and that we get to see some parental support. Walt dancing is an utter delight to behold. :3:

Intelligent Life still consistently makes me angry every time it's posted.

Also beer and sports-watching in costumes is how me and my rather nerdy group of friends spent most of Halloween weekend and it was great. Football and Mario Party while taking turns answering the door for trick-or-treaters.

it's absolutely bonkers that there's a character entirely dedicated to telling the jock that she doesn't want anything to do with him and he's a worthless romantic partner nobody would ever like and also his parties suck and none of his friends enjoyed it under the guise of trying to get him to understand that he should like the same things as the only people who will willingly spend time with him, because they like culture that matters like comic books and children's toys.
