In a few more years, gpds are probably going to be over $1000. The specs get better too but that doesn't help if you just want a cheap mini laptop as a toy.

Thousand bucks but much more usable as far as I'm concerned. I'd seriously consider getting it with Alder Lake.

the other one does this thing where it can just be a KVM for other computers, which is very neat and would be very handy for the various rpis i have laying around.

The single KVM port control module for Pocket 3 can be used to access and control another computer for system and network device management. It integrates HDMI IN and USB IN ports, so you only need an HDMI cable or HDMI to VGA cable to connect Pocket 3 to the targeted server and fully control the server through the Pocket 3's own keyboard and mouse.

Oohhhhh fuuccckk I could have used this back in my days running around raised floors.

they're doing a crowdfunding thing for the initial release (i think they've done this with all of their products) https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/pocket-3-a-modular-and-full-featured-handheld-pc#/

$650 at the cheapest (base cpu, no modules) up to $1078 (faster CPU and modules)

as with all weird tiny PCs i am extremely tempted. maybe this time i will break down and get one. :dogcited:

i seriously doubt it works even slightly reliably, i would bet on the app it appears to use having tons of weird input issues

stuff like this always falls into the category of "neat, as long as you don't care if it works when you need it" because you will probably spend more time loving with it than you would just going and setting up the appropriate tool for the job
