They're probably talking about stuff like the scene in Iron Man where Tony "does a piece from Vanity Fair" and the Edward Norton Hulk where him and what'sherface get horned up about changing clothes in front of each other

Oh drat Alien WLM would rule. I also don’t think I’ve watched it this year so thatll be a nice return.

I got Alien on UHD a couple months ago so I have watched it recently, but I'll gladly watch it again for the WLM. It's one of my favorites.

Them breaking down the opening of Genesis reminded me of the bit in “A sound of thunder” episode where they broke down the Ten Commandments as New Jersey gangsters, which is a top tier moment in WHM history.

BigglesSWE posted:Pretty good WLM. Most of them are misses for me, since I usually don't find it interesting to hear them repeat "X is so awesome, oh, and now Y, so awesome!" But if the movie in question is weird enough they can still make it fun. This was one of those times. I think it's just a lot of mainstream movies. In the Dispatch newsletter, they always are listing recent movies they love, but it's all small-time stuff.

Home Alone is a movie I don't think I've watched from start to finish in about 20 years. But I probably go back and just watch the home invasion stuff every year on youtube.

Can we guess what cinematic masterpieces will be chosen for their January " worst of 2020" month ? There was alot of forgettable crap this year but cant recall any particular hilarious stinkers .

Offhand, I feel like Free Guy and Space Jam 2 are fighting for the same slot. Ooo! Dear Evan Hansen. Definitely. Maybe with one of the wives.

We still have a month and a half left and some real contenders still coming up like Ghostbusters: Afterlife But its a pretty stacked year for bad movies; Jungle Cruise, Space Jam 2, Mortal Kombat, The Tomorrow War, Boss Baby 2, Tom and Jerry, the Tomorrow War... they've got a lot of choices. And that isn't even going in to all the horror sequels/reboots.
|
# ? Nov 17, 2021 00:54 |
Judging by their Letterboxd reviews, other strong candidates in addition to the above are Red Notice, Halloween Kills, The Woman in the Window, and Eternals. WLM probably Dune?

I don't see how they couldn't take on Space Jam 2 in January. Tomorrow Man is probably also a major contender.

There were so many bad movies this year, just off the top of my head (I haven't seen any of these): Space Jam: A New Legacy The Tomorrow War Mortal Kombat Vanquish Escape Room: Tournament of Champions City of Lies Tom & Jerry The Ice Road or The Marksman (if they want to do a Liam Neeson movie) Thunder Force Chaos Walking Spiral: From the Book of Saw The Boss Baby: Family Business Silk Road I'm sure there are lots more. I bet the guys have only seen like three of these.

clown shoes posted:There were so many bad movies this year, just off the top of my head (I haven't seen any of these): Tom & Jerry wasn’t a bad hangover movie, same with Escape Room. That was surprisingly decent. I could see The Boss Baby 2, Chaos Walking, Space Jam 2 and Infinite being top contenders. Boss Baby 2 is just the right follow up for the first one, Chaos Walking was the worst of the two Holland movies from this year (Cherry just doesn’t have the material for the boys to play with), Space Jam 2 might just give them all ulcers that week and Infinite is some prime Whalberg/Boston accent material. Bread and butter right there.

Ahh hmm true… feel like none of them would go there. Can still make fun of the movie without really bringing the tragedy into it. Out of the 4 Eric and Chris would probably probe a joke there but I dunno if anyone would wanna cross that very fresh line.
