What's all this talk of voting on the various Heilots? I haven't seen anything about that

I can't figure out if voting is even happening just yet. Maybe it's after all Heilots are done.

Also this is the image on the HEI Network news page

Gregg's On Cinema performance is truly incredible work. Tim, too, but Gregg is just such a deliciously gross and sad little gremlin man. He's perfect.

Everything about his character is just perfect, like literally beyond perfect. Gregg is a national treasure.

I don't know if any of you watch or listen to Office Hours, but Thursday's episode was really eye opening stuff. Makes you think.

I really want to but I've legit never listened to a minute of Joe Rogans podcast and I feel like the best material would be lost on me

Joe Rogan parody aside, the bigger joke is three dumb assholes talking to each other and saying how smart they are. Which I think is funny.

As much as I love On Cinema, I honestly think Office Hours is much funnier. That's not in any way a diss on OC, just a mark of how good I think Office Hours is.

Obviously to some degree it depends on the guest and I'm not as enamored of the music-related bits (though Randy Newman and Dionne Warwick were both great gets) but I think it's consistently pretty high (HEI?) up there.

I like Office Hours but I need to muster the energy to listen to it most of the time because it's so manic. I get what they're doing and it's really funny but it's not casual or background listening really

I want to be a Tim completist but I just don't have that kind of time

Detective No. 27

Tim has so many projects going.

Has it ever been said why Eric Wareheim isn't part of OC? Does he mainly do producing stuff these days or something? I heard he released a cookbook recently. And they did Beef House last year, so I know they didn't have a creative difference split or anything.

Yeah one of the few Office Hours clips I’ve seen was a conversation with Eric about dummies assuming they aren’t still working together all the time. They didn’t talk about OC or anything specific but it sounds like he’s doing a lot of stuff in the background or writing etc.

I think Eric said he didn't show up on Office Hours a lot because he hates waking up early.

I think he would break the versimillitude of On Cinema because Tim and Eric are such a thing. It would be a Tim and Eric thing instead of its own thing

Chairman Capone
Dec 17, 2008

I think Eric is just really into becoming a foodie, and more power to him for that.

There was also a period when he was getting more into directing on his own, though looking at his IMDb page it seems like not as much the last few years (though between the cookbook and pandemic that probably explains it).

I think it's just the case that Tim and Eric are two different people and they each have their own things they like to focus on, even while still working together on the business side and other creative things. When Eric called into Office Hours recently he mentioned how much he liked On Cinema.

I was watching simpsons at 0.75 without knowing until a scene where homer and bart were getting back massages at a hotel and the noises they were making were super drawn out like a youtube poop
I like to stop and think about the Ericisms that made Awesome Show (and Check it Out!) so great: slightly photoshopped faces that look "wrong", disgusting man-headed children, compressed heads with no noses and the constant bickering with Tim's characters no matter who they're playing.

Eric has some amazing music video director credits. I think his Beach House video is my favorite (with bonus Ray Wise performance) but his video for the bird and the bee’s Polite Dance Song is more traditional Tim and Eric energy. The video he directed for Depeche Mode was also very good but boy howdy did it make some Depeche Mode fans angry!
