this is the same kind of music they listened to when society used to have giant wheels in kitchens where they'd put special dogs to work as slaves turning a spitroast all day every day

Dungeon Synth is great if you can get over that Varg Vikernes is considered the one who started the genre.

Gave a listen and not for me. Bump for for being unique though. Didn't realize this was a genre but I suppose every piece I've listened to, whether it's a movie, game, whatever, is probably part of a genre with tons of similar music.

The perfect soundtrack for when you get home from the bar, and that freshly made bed is still only going to have just you in it tonight.

But, sadly, nazi dungeon synth is a thing. The guy from Old Tower had a project called "The Wampyric Specter" that was really fashy... he actually got punted from Profound Lore Records when they did that massive purge of nazis last year.

Three of my Demoscene buddies from Back In The Day had their songs outright stolen and released by some rando in 1995 and we did not learn about this until 2020 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zhonFtBBfQ I would be lying if I said I were not disappointed my songs did not sound good enough with water dripping sound effects over the top to make the cut

I've played all manner of medieval-style mobile games, like match-3, city builders, etc., and I've always wondered that, for how low-quality the games are, why do the soundtracks go so loving hard sometimes? Like, all the games are made from templates or asset flips, but at least the music was decent. Well after listening to, and recognizing some of these, now I realize they just outright steal dungeon synth and put it in their games for atmosphere. Because I can't believe that so many of these third-rate games paid the licensing fee for most of the songs. But enough of that, it's nice music, reminds me of King's Field IV.
