I'm in Canada! Thanks. Quill is home safe but absolutely ungovernable. Can't get a cone on her and can barely keep her distracted from jumping and running around. Thankfully she doesn't seem very interested in the surgical site. gently caress I love her so much and she's a menace.

Finally, finally got Quill into a onesie (a cat one this time, go figure it worked) and she's not really bothered too much by it. She really had a hard time walking for a few hours for some reason, like she had to relearn how. Kinda looked like someone with a significant inner ear infection with the loss of balance. She's now able to move around without falling over and she hops up onto the couch etc without difficulty. Anyone know the physiologic reason she was initially off balance? https://i.imgur.com/4pjBp22.mp4 e:  Her face... poor girl. I think she's just trying to come to grips with her new reality, she hasn't been yelping or moving gingerly in ways unrelated to what she's wearing. We had an interesting patient today at my job (I'm a pharmacy tech at a retail pharmacy). A pair of cats with feline diabetes! Sadly I didn't get to see pics, but one was a tux with bonus toes!

They thought it was strange at first but went with it. Sometimes if you said you were picking up a prescription for Jackson they'd excitedly say "He's a cat!" He died a few years ago but lived for what I understand is a long time for a diabetic cat:

I had to go to my local pharmacy to get a liquid steroid for Mango as part of figuring out why he was puking. Pharmacist is doing the talk about medications I might be taking and I'm like; dude this ain't for me its for my cat so anything I'm taking isn't really relevant. I ain't chugging

Cats don't like things touching their bodies, I've heard it's to do with fine sensitive hairs that they use to judge space around them via air currents but I don't know how much I believe that. Anyway, they get used to it then they're fine. Scoops did the same thing when we were leash training him. Anyway, you can test this out by getting some packing tape and putting on the side of your furry friend. They'll try to walk in a straight line but they'll end up walking diagonally away and maybe fall over.
