I gave Shida vs Deeb that edge into MOTYC because of how well it played into their previous matches.

MOTYC 10th December AEW Rampage AEW World Tag Team Titles Lucha Bros (Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) vs FTR (Cash Wheeler & Dax Harwood) Well, that's fantastic. Despite Rampage being the shorter show I have more MOTYC from it than Dynamite, which is fun. HM 10th December AEW Rampage Fuego del Sol vs Hook You've got to give AEW credit, this was about as good a first match as you're going to see.

Yeah, I really feel like they deliberately structure their tapings so they have an absolute showstopper as the first thing people see on Rampage. It also feels like Rampage matches, to fit in the hour, are usually quicker and more immediate.

HM 9th July 2AW Infinity 2021 Summer Ayame Sasamura vs Tsukasa Fujimoto This is just a nice 10 minute match with Fujimoto the outsider veteran against Sasamura the homegrown talent. HM 9th July 2AW Infinity 2021 Summer Ayato Yoshida & Naka Shuma vs Total Eclipse (Hokuto Omori & Jake Lee) This is cool. Jake is like 2 weeks off from winning the Triple Crown. He and Yoshida used to be in the AJPW faction JIN together until Jake's turn, so that tension is there. A lot of the match centres around Shuma getting his rear end beat, Omori gets a chance to shine, there's a great spot when Shuma has Jake in an ankle lock, Lee tries to stay balanced on his other leg and Yoshida comes along to DDT him, all the while the ankle lock is still on. Just fun, simple storytelling well executed
