hmm the thing is I'm not sure, I think it's specifically red bull at this point. almost every other energy drink I can't stand because I've had them too much, and I'm not even sure the caffeine does anything. I don't drink any caffeine on the weekend. I really think it's a series of conflated habits to do with my workplace, the paths I drive to work, stopping at the supermarket on the way, the dopamine rewards from buying something etc its why you don't just stop cigarette smoking with nicotine patches, there's an entire world of associated behaviors the reward pathway has a grip on, and if you've spent years developing networks of rewards and reward seeking behavior, that behavior ends up driven by the same part of your brain that drove our ancestors to enjoy red meat and sex unfortunately for me, I've spent years refining these habits. I honestly doubt I will be able to break them without changing workplaces

Caffeine addiction is fully broken. I'm still enjoying Roobios and hot cocoa this month, then nothing but water in earnest to bring in the new year. December is a nice way to get into the groove.

nice fuckin work man I started this new drug empagliflozin and one of its side effects is thirst and lo and behold when I am actually thirsty I don't want redbull, which is good. I think this will make things better/good
