Bought No Man's Sky and apart from having no real idea what I'm doing and never having any inventory space, is there a way to make the kB and mouse controls not suck? Flight is a total shambles in anything other than a straight line.

I'm guessing the answer is "use a controller".

Kuvo posted:

I never actually managed to do the Alexis reveal properly because I'd always gently caress something up and get spotted and end up just killing everyone with the time honoured classic move of "stand around a corner and kill everyone that walks round it".

Also just like Dishonoured, I think I never used anything except Shift and Invisibility.

controller is better but have you actually messed around with the control settings? there are a couple different flight control schemes and separate mouse sensitivity for it, id be surprised if you can't dial in something workable

i tried Squad last night with some friends and it's the perfect mix of like, Insurgency or ARMA and BF4. It was heaps of fun.

One map we were building fortifications and an enemy helicopter was flying nearby and apparently didnt see me sitting on an AA gun, so he and the crew and supplies he had on board all died, then on another i tried out marksman and managed to get a good angle on two enemy squad positions and wiped them out from 400m

the community was also surprisingly friendly and helpful when we were like "hey we're super new and have no idea what we're doing", which was nice compared to the usual case of the n-word being dropped frequently in other milsim type games

this was probably one of the best boss fights ive done in recent times - the voice acting, the difficulty (took me about 10 tries after almost giving up a few times), just everything about it was so awesome

ill try replaying with the Spanish voices next time but I found the English to be insanely good - again very Souls'like in how it all plays out

A buttkicker is one of those things that everyone who has tried mine has started out saying "so.....it like vibrates? Like a controller?" and leaves impressed. From an immersion standpoint, they're awesome
