My elderly mother with upper and lower dentures can't eat almonds easily either, so she picks them out of her mixed nuts and gives them to me. You just need to get a buddy to give your almonds to.

Oh, but have you tried Marconi almonds? They're flatter and don't have the brown bran layer. Also, you can get almond extract, which has all the flavor our almonds and none of the chewing!

I love taking some raw almonds, soaking them in brine for a bit, drying them off and then roasting them in a toaster oven. Nicely toasted almonds are god's gift to the human species and I'm sorry that your teeth are too gooey to appreciate that.
