I carefully followed the instructions and spent 2 hours downloading stuff to install the FUS pack of like 170 mods for Skyrim VR and now the game won't launch at all.. I'm getting the whole Skyrim experience!

I no longer get motion sick when I use smooth locomotion, but I think I'm getting like eyestrain because it still hurts my eyes. I don't feel "dizzy", but I feel kind of a pain in my eyes and just a tiny bit of nausea. I think it's my eyes trying to focus on a fixed point while I turn away from it. On a related note, I loving hate how the AI in Blade & Sorcery do their little bunny hops in a circle strafe around you and make you either have to constantly spin in place IRL or else constantly smooth turn to face them. I mean, it's "effective" in that they're constantly flanking me but it feels like less of a strat and more of a frustrating quirk. It's like in beat-em-up games where the enemies move completely off screen whenever you're facing them.

I've never experienced motion sickness of any kind. I used to sail a bit and could do it all day, no problem. My inner-ear is invincible. I've not had a single issue with VR motion of any kind. It kicks so much rear end.

I've gotten that weird feeling in my stomach, like riding some ride at an amusement park, but that's it. It's rare though, only place I can remember consistently doing it was in Skyrim VR, in one of the expansions there's this wizard dude who lives in a giant tree. He's got a sort of magic elevator you gotta use there, that always did it. Gotten the stabbing eye pain though, also from Skyrim VR. Just sorta get lost in it and suddenly I've been in VR 8+ hours. That's what those Rohto eye drops are for though, easy solution.

As far as I could tell I was completely immune to motion sickness until I played the remastered version of Diablo II all day. It didn't hit me until I stopped but holy poo poo that was one of the sickest I've ever been in my life. I threw up a lot and couldn't lay down for hours without feeling like everything was spinning unbearably. Even the next day I still felt hosed up. Apparently this was a common problem for players with that release because your character was animated at a different fps than the background. I capped the fps and never got sick again. Still haven't felt a drop of motion sickness from VR even though I do crazy Poe Dameron poo poo in Squadrons and wild Trinity poo poo in Sairento. And yeah, it's pretty awesome, but feeling like a VR superfreak for a while and then getting laid so low by flatscreen Diablo was a somewhat humbling experience.

Oh god dammit! One of my prescription lens inserts already has a scratch on it and I don’t know how that happened, given how anal I am with them. It’s unnoticeable when playing so I should probably just roll with it rather than trying to fix it and potentially making it worse, but it just eats at me knowing it’s there.

My wife gets motion sickness pretty bad but wants a Quest 2. Gonna have to get some super chill games for her to ease in the experience. She liked using my G2 for a bit but it was in Squadrons and she lasted about 5 minutes.

The deluxe audio strap is truly king. I had one for my original Vive, went to my wife on her original Quest and now is on her Quest 2. Same strap, same headphones, just different adapters between the quests. Still going strong, as far as she's concerned it's the DAS or nothing.

You could check out 'Lucky's tale' for a 3rd person platformer with that sort of dollhouse perspective, as well 'Edge of Nowhere' and 'Chronos' are some good 3rd person games, though those don't really have a dollhouse scale to them being more human sized. Theres also 'Witchblood' which is literally a dollhouse opened up with doll sized figures in a 2d metroidvania style thing. Theres some other PC 3rd person VR games i'm forgetting. Some beat 'em up by Insomniac, and some 5 dollar adventure time thing I can remember, but yeah, I don't think its utilized nearly enough for what a great effect it is.

Thanks, that's good advice. My PC is on WIFI but the speed is screaming fast. Will AirLink still play well if it is not hardwired to the router?

Yeah, I just slapped the mod back on to test it again and it's gotten rid of the binocular effect. I don't like having light coming in from the bottom but it's easy to ignore once a game gets moving.

I use a bit of cloth to deal with it, but yeah there is a bit of a gap where the nose cover normally goes. Since I have the older version the difference is big enough that it's worth it to me, but YMMV on the newer one.
